The 2024 Cos d'Estournel Blanc is one of the best editions of this wine I can remember tasting. Rich and ample, the 2024 possesses notable textural richness but also a good bit of moderating vibrancy. The balance here is simply superb. Lemon confit, almond, white flowers and chalk build into the layered, resonant finish. Score: 93 - 95 Antonio Galloni, Vinous.com Maturity: 2026-2034 Brooding and shy, the 2024 Cos d'Estournel Blanc reveals aromas of citrus and lime, followed by a moderately weighted, incisive and lively palate with tangy acid s and a short finish. I'll reserve judgment until after bottling. (YC) Not scored Score: - William Kelley, Wine Advocate, RobertParker.com Restrained right now, just getting revved up, delivering pear, saffron, elderflower, white tea and liquorice root. Limestone soils in northern Médoc, field grafted from Cabernet Sauvignon in 2021. This needs carafing, and should take a few years before really opening up, but has a ton of texture, confidence and character. 3.04 pH. Harvest 17 to 27 September. 8% new oak. Score: 95 Jane Anson, Inside Bordeaux Maturity: 2026-2036 The 2024 Cos d'Estournel Blanc has more delineation and tension than the Pagodes on the nose. It's more citrus-driven with touches of yuzu and lime. The palate is fresh and bright on the entry, with a keen line of acidity and an intense lemon peel- and orange zest-tinged finish. This is a very fine Cos d'Estournel Blanc that will be difficult to resist in its youth. Score: 92 - 94 Neal Martin, Vinous.com Maturity: 2027-2042 |

The 2024 Coutet is a dense, voluptuous Sauternes. Orange peel, apricot jam, passion fruit, pineapple and white flowers convey tons of exoticism. Ample and resonant on the palate, with superb depth, Coutet is outstanding in 2024. Score: 94 - 96 Antonio Galloni, Vinous.com Maturity: 2028-2044 Delivers texture and flesh, love the aromatics that are sweet without being heavy, this has restraint and carefully-measured fleshy fruits, nectarine, pineapple, white peaches, lime zest, gunsmoke, perfectly-judged acidities. One of the wines of the vintage, great stuff from Philippe and Aline Baly. Score: 97 Jane Anson, Inside Bordeaux Maturity: 2026-2038 The 2024 Coutet was picked over six tries although the final ones were not used with 134 g/L residual sugar this year. It has quite an intense bouquet with beautifully defined lemon thyme and light peach aromas. The palate is well balanced with a vivacious opening, lively apricot and quince notes and concentration effortlessly offset by the silver thread of acidity. Composed and persistent on the finish, this is a superb Coutet. Score: 94 - 96 Neal Martin, Vinous.com Maturity: 2028-2055 |

The 2024 La Dame de Montrose is a very elegant, sexy wine. Lifted aromatics, bright red-toned fruit and silky tannins speak to finesse. All the elements are so well balanced. A burst of red cherry, mocha and crushed flowers extends the soft, supple finish. The 2024 is being raised in approximately 63% used oak, 20% foudre, 15% new oak and 2% amphora. It's an incredibly charming wine that should drink well on release. Score: 90 - 92 Antonio Galloni, Vinous.com Maturity: 2026-2034 If the grand vin is built for the ages, the 2024 La Dame de Montrose plays a different hand, emphasizing suavity and charm. Offering up notes of blackcurrants, raspberries, violets and licorice, it's medium to full-bodied, ample and suave, with supple tannins, lively acids and a seamless, complete profile. It's a blend of 73% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Petit Verdot and 3% Cabernet Franc that sees a more reductive élevage than the grand vin. Score: 90 - 92 William Kelley, Wine Advocate, RobertParker.com This has dark fruit character, leafy but nuanced and sculpted, lovely savoury mouthwatering quality on the finish, At Montrose they did some leaf removal even in early June at fruit set, and left grass throughout the vineyard all the way through the season to increase competition, and did some tidying up at the very beginning of veraison to remove any that were clearly a little behind schedule - so basically just had to be extremely reactive at all times. The yield was 38hl/h after farming entirely organically. Harvest 23 September to 8 October. 20% large oak casks, 15% new oak. Score: 92 Jane Anson, Inside Bordeaux Maturity: 2029-2040 The 2024 La Dame de Montrose—raised in 15% new oak, 20% foudres and 2% amphora—has a straightforward, relatively light bouquet with blackberry, hints of black olive and light gravelly scents. The palate is medium-bodied with sharp acidity on the entry, balanced but just a little austere towards the second half. It needs to muster more fruité on the finish, but at least displays freshness and classicism. Score: 88 - 90 Neal Martin, Vinous.com Maturity: 2028-2037 |

The 2024 Doisy-Daëne is redolent of apricot, tangerine oil, baked apple tart, pineapple and spice. Bold and luscious in feel, Doisy-Daëne is quite overt in 2024. It offers ample body to match its abundant curves and sexy, flamboyant profile. Tasted two times. Score: 92 - 95 Antonio Galloni, Vinous.com Maturity: 2029-2044 Bright, vivid, beautiful depth, lime zest, saffron, juicy and luscious, this majors on orange peel, pineapple and mango, mouthwatering finish, exceptional quality. Olivier And Eric Casteja. 9 hl/ha yield, Barsac location. Score: 95 Jane Anson, Inside Bordeaux Maturity: 2026-2038 The 2024 Doisy-Daëne is a little more backward on the nose than expected, with finely delineated peach skin, beeswax and wild honey scents emerging with time. The palate is well balanced with a very peachy opening, then apricot and quince join the chorus line. As usual, the acidic thread keeps this Barsac on its toes and there is real intensity and sustain on the finish that leaves you wanting more. Bravo. Score: 94 - 96 Neal Martin, Vinous.com Maturity: 2028-2055 |
