Alongside his legendary work at Pomerol's Eglise Clinet, the late Denis Durantou quietly built a remarkable stable of Right Bank wines that have become firm favourites with Bordeaux lovers & collectors - showcasing value, serious quality & a deep connection with terroir.
The Durantou sisters continue this legacy, with a a stunning set of wines of vivid fruit, depth & purity in 2024. The range impresses year in, year out and 2024 is no exception, offering excellent value again.
La Chenade - £72 per 6 IB is scented with expressive blueberry, accessible younger than Les Cruzelles.
Les Cruzelles - £96 per 6 IB - from gravel and clay-rich soils in Lalande de Pomerol - structured with blackforest gateau notes, purity & balance. A great bargain at £16/btl !

Montlandrie - £84 per 6 IB - in Castillon comes from a limestone hillside, recalling the best Saint Emilion terroirs. Vibrant with impressive depth. 60% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc & 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, (included in the blend since 2023).
Saintayme - £132 per 12 IB - the family's Saint Emilion is 100% Merlot - juicy with lush, generous fruit and lift.
Finally, La Petite Eglise - £204 per 6 IB. From a separate plot within Eglise Clinet's vineyard. A true taste of Pomerol pedigree surpassing many other more illustrious names in the appellation. This is a gorgeous wine in 2024.
