Chateau Mouton Rothschild et al
First Growth Chateau Mouton Rothschild - £ 1521 per 6, marking its debut with a price reduction of 25%. This is a serious cut, and the price makes it the cheapest vintage available so looks positive for En Primeur buyers. A “Classy, very classy” ageworthy Mouton (94-96 NM), that looks well-priced.
Petit Mouton 2024 is also now available at £ 651 per 6 IB, making it clearly the cheapest vintage in the market. Popular as a collectible thanks to its status as Mouton Rothschild’s second wine.
Released alongside Mouton Rothschild, the Rothschild family’s duo of Pauillac Classed Growths owned and made by the same team as Mouton Rothschild: Clerc Milon & Armailhac.
Also released today, Sauternes fans will love the superb “dense & voluptuous” Chateau Coutet 2024 - £166 for 6 bts or 12 half-bottles. Rated 94-96 by both Antonio Galloni & Neal Martin and one of the sweet wines of the vintage.
