Chateau Leoville Barton & Chateau Langoa Barton

Now released, Leoville Barton & its stablemate Langoa Barton 2024 with price reductions of 14% & 10% respectively.  The Barton family have a longstanding commitment to En Primeur value, with a fair pricing policy that has been consistently modest in recent years, even whilst others embraced dramatic price rises.  With consistent scores from critics and classic Left Bank structure, these are serious wines at decent release prices.

Leoville Barton For us this showed very well En Primeur and stood out for its ripeness, density balanced with tannic grip & length. With the entire vinification now completed in the new winery, this is a refined yet powerful Leoville with a long future ahead.   “One of the wines of the vintage”(Jane Anson, 94 pts)

Just across the road from Leoville Barton, Langoa is the more accessible, & a favourite of savvy buyers but remains of Bordeaux’s most under-rated overachievers.  Rated 92-94 by William Kelley, just like Leoville Barton.
