We can now offer the 2014 Chateau Lafite, following the eagerly awaited second tranche release onto the market.  This First Growth is one of Bordeaux's most visible and sought-after wines and is now available at £2940 per 12 bottles or £1470 per 6, which looks pretty good value in comparison with every other vintage of the past ten years.

We can now also offer Chateau Ducru Beaucaillou at £750 per 12.  This noble Second Growth estate is named after the beautiful stones ("beau caillou") that are found in the vineyard here, fabulously situated next to the river.  This is a Chateau that has been firing on all cylinders over the past few years and quality is top notch.  Full of finesse and incredible length, 2014 is one of the best vintages of the last decade (after the '09 and '10) and is a fair price given other comparable vintages available.

Also released is the second wine, Croix de Beaucaillou at £230 per 12, described by Antonio Galloni as "a dark, voluptuous beauty".  Please let us know if you would like to place an order.

Whilst we still await Montrose, we are now on the final strait for Bordeaux 2014 with the top guns from St Emilion all releasing this morning at practically the same time.

Showing pure class, 2014 is a disarmingly beautiful Cheval Blanc with a stunning texture.  Scored 95-97 from Neal Martin and 96-99 by the Wine Spectator.  A clear highlight in 2014, it is now available at £3420 per 12.  The silky second wine Petit Cheval is also released at £965 per 12.

Released at the same price as Cheval, Chateau Ausone (a tiny production of around 1000 cases) is also now available at £3420 per 12, with its second wine, la Chapelle d'Ausone at £900 per 12.

Quinault l'Enclos is now owned and made by the team at Cheval Blanc since 2008 and quality has been on an upward trajectory ever since. Available now at £185 per case, but we also have the very fine 2010 Quinault in stock at £180 per case (RP 91, 17 JR).

The original Garage wine Valandraud is also released today at £800 per 12, along with the second wine Virginie de Valandraud at £220 per 12.

POMEROL UPDATE: Vieux Chateau Certan was released yesterday and sold out straight away to clients who had "wish list"-ed it.  We still have some availability on the following top Pomerols:  Eglise Clinet  (£1300 per 12), Evangile (£860 per 12), Conseillante (£640 per 12), Le Gay (released yesterday at £575 per 12), Clinet (£425 per 12) and Gazin (£390 per 12).
