Tasting Notes

The Lacoste Borie, a blend of 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc, has a light, earthy bouquet, rustic round the edge but with a core of crisp black fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with a terse entry, very tight at the moment with crisp acidity that leads to a pleasant, austere, foursquare finish that should provide early to medium-term drinking. Tasted April 2012.

55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc. Quite dark on the palate, savoury but also a bit leafy. Slightly lean on the palate though the tannins are fluid and the finish fresh. (JH)

A wine with pretty blueberry character with hints of dried flowers. Medium body, with fine tannins and fresh acidity. Straightforward.
