The 2022 Suduiraut presents a bewitching bouquet of dried honey, lanolin, saffron and light orange pith scents, all harmonious and well delineated. This might be better than I estimated from barrel. The palate is balanced with great density and weight, a viscous texture, a fine bead of acidity and a hint of passion fruit toward the intense finish. Outstanding. (190 g/l residual sugar) Score: 96 Neal Martin, Vinous.com Maturity: 2025-2055 Date: 12 February 2025 |

The 2022 Suduiraut is elegant, gracious and lifted, as the wines here typically are these days. Apricot, cinnamon, dried flowers, mint and orange peel all grace this wonderfully airy, understated Sauternes. Most importantly, the 2022 is a wine of exquisite balance. The 190 grams of residual sugar is quite a bit higher than the norm of 140-150, but that is not particularly evident. This has come together very nicely since I tasted it en primeur. While it might not reach the highs of the most exceptional years, it certainly comes close. Score: 96 Antonio Galloni, Vinous.com Maturity: 2028-2057 Date: 28 January 2025 |

The 2022 Suduiraut reveals a deep, complex bouquet of ripe orchard fruits, caramel, spices and mango. Medium to full-bodied, enveloping and mouth-coating, it’s long and fleshy with great depth at the core and a long, mineral, orchard fruits-inflected finish. Entirely crafted from Sémillon and matured for 18 months in barrels (70% were new barrels), this is a classic in the making and a superb Sauternes. This has 190 grams per liter of residual sugar. Amber in colour, with tropical fruits of passion fruit and mango on the opening beats, clear depth of flavour and contrast provided by orange peel and aniseed bitterness, low acidity. Luscious, silky, powerful, enjoyable. Pierre Montégut technical director, 7hl/h yields, 70% new barrels 30% from barrels of one vintage. One of the finest Sauternes I've been lucky enough to taste in some time, the 2022 Château Suduiraut is 100% Sémillon that hit 13.9% natural alcohol, with 190 grams per liter of residual sugar. Still resting in 70% new barrels, this monster of a Sauternes offers a huge nose of honeyed citrus, orange marmalade, spice, brioche, and almond paste. Full-bodied, rich, and massively concentrated, nevertheless, it somehow stays flawlessly balanced, fresh, and light on its feet. Score: 97 - 99 Jeb Dunnuck, JebDunnuck.com Date: 10 May 2023 |

Wow. This is incredibly concentrated with such depth and power. Dried oranges. Full-bodied with some phenolic tension that frames the wine perfectly. Dried apricots and peaches. Incredible richness and freshness. Spicy and flavorful. Tastes more like a BA from Germany! 100% semillon. Score: 98 - 99 James Suckling, JamesSuckling.com Date: 13 April 2023 |
