Bernard Magrez owner of this estate that has a history dating back to 1112 - now grown to over 200ha. On this showing, they are being smart about how they are dealing with the extra fruit, because this retains confidence and grip, plenty of liquorice and cocoa bean spice, with oyster shell salinity on the finish, tannins that remain tight and this point and need longer in bottle. Score: 92 Jane Anson, Inside Bordeaux Maturity: 2027-2038 Date: 06 March 2025 |

The 2022 La Tour Carnet has an opulent and forward bouquet with black cherry, boysenberry and light minty aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly chewy tannins. It's grainy in texture with tarry, lightly spiced notes on the finish. This was tasted twice. Score: 89 Neal Martin, Inside Bordeaux Maturity: 2028-2040 Date: 12 February 2025 |

The 2022 La Tour Carnet is a potent, brooding wine. A rush of dark red fruit, iron, white pepper, leather and licorice stains the palate. This driving, persistent Haut-Médoc has a lot to recommend it. The 2022 is complex and wonderfully dynamic in the glass, qualities that will allow it to age gracefully for many years to come. Score: 93 Antonio Galloni, Inside Bordeaux Maturity: 2027-2042 Date: 28 January 2025 |

The 2022 Château La Tour Carnet is enjoyable, with a lighter, medium-bodied, yet balanced style carrying both red and black fruits, some leafy, foresty, herbal nuances, soft tannins, and a lengthy finish. It's nicely balanced and will clearly be an enjoyable, well-made Haut-Médoc. Score: 87 - 89 Jeb Dunnuck, JebDunnuck.com Date: 10 May 2023 |

A blend of 59% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon and 1% Cabernet Franc, the 2022 La Tour Carnet offers up rich aromas of cassis, blueberry, warm spices and pencil shavings, framed by toasty new oak. Fresh and slightly menthol-tingled, the palate is medium to full-bodied, with a fleshy core of fruit and firm structuring tannins that assert themselves on the finish. Score: 88 - 90 William Kelley, Wine Advocate, RobertParker.com Date: 28 April 2023 |

A juicy red with redcurrants and flowers. Dark stones, too. Medium body with creamy tannins and a juicy finish. Polished and balanced. Score: 92 - 93 James Suckling, JamesSuckling.com Date: 05 April 2023 |
