The 2022 Moulin Saint-Georges has really opened up on the nose since tasting from barrel. It's plusher and opulent than it showed then, with layers of black cherry, cassis fruit, orange pith and glycerine. The palate is medium-bodied and velvety smooth, with lush tannins and a dash of cracked black pepper on the finish. There is structure and sapidity here. The 2022 Moulin Saint-Georges is a heady, deep wine. Blue-toned fruits, leather, licorice, mocha, spice and tobacco are all packed into the wine's mid-weight frame. Dense and quite potent, Moulin Saint-Georges will benefit from a few years in bottle, which will help it shed some baby fat.
