Medium intensity, well balanced, with attractive dark brambled fruits, with crayon, sweet baking spices and supple tannins, reflects the heat of the vintage but stays within the lines. 40% new oak barrels, and this vintage contains part of the vines from newly-purchased Château Brillette, with good quality Cabernet Sauvignon from gravel terroir. Score: 93 Jane Anson, Inside Bordeaux Maturity: 2026-2038 Date: 06 March 2025 |

The 2022 Chasse-Spleen presents a promising, quite burly bouquet with blackberry, bilberry and hints of marmalade unfolding in the glass. The palate is fresh on the entry with grippy tannins. It feels a little stricter than it did in barrel, showing more austerity on the finish, but I appreciate the tension and ample length. Give this time to prove itself. Score: 92 Neal Martin, Inside Bordeaux Maturity: 2032-2070 Date: 12 February 2025 |

The 2022 Chasse-Spleen is a powerful, deep Moulis. Scorched earth, tobacco, incense and dried flowers complement a core of dark fruit. Brooding and quite closed today, the 2022 needs a few years in bottle to be at its best. Score: 90 Antonio Galloni, Inside Bordeaux Maturity: 2026-2037 Date: 28 January 2025 |

The 2022 Chasse-Spleen was showing especially well, bursting with aromas of cassis and plums mingled with licorice and pencil shavings. Medium to full-bodied, rich and fleshy, with levels of texture and mid-palate amplitude unusual at this address in recent years, this supple, charming Moulis should offer a broad drinking window. Score: 90 - 92 William Kelley, Wine Advocate, RobertParker.com Date: 28 April 2023 |

Firm and linear with medium to full body and chalky, slightly tight tannins. Hints of walnuts and dark berries at the end. Score: 93 - 94 James Suckling, JamesSuckling.com Date: 13 April 2023 |
