Excellent quality, with crayon, cloves, saffran and graphite notes, deliciously finessed, and another wine that has improved over ageing. The 2016 plantings by the church plot near the chateau are used for the first time in this 2021 vintage, split betwen Petite Eglise and L'Eglise Clinet (massal from 1935 vines). Score: 92 Jane Anson, Inside Bordeaux Maturity: 2025-2036 Date: 26 March 2024 |

The 2021 La Petite Eglise is an intriguing wine, although it naturally lacks the dynamic energy of the best years. Succulent red cherry, blood orange, cinnamon, new leather, spice and cedar all meld together. Gracious and supple, with tons of charm, La Petite Eglise is quite seductive in 2021. Score: 92 Antonio Galloni, Inside Bordeaux Maturity: 2026-2041 Date: 27 February 2024 |

The 2021 La Petite Eglise has come out of its shell on the nose during its barrel-aging, now more expressive with finely delineated scents of blackberry, iris flower, gravel and truffle. The palate is medium-bodied with pliant tannins and moderate weight, very harmonious and showing more cohesion on the finish than it did out of barrel. Closing with satisfying length, this is a very capable Pomerol. Score: 91 Neal Martin, Vinous.com Maturity: 2026-2036 Date: 22 February 2024 |

A dark-fruited Pomerol with pretty notes of cloves, sandalwood, dried lavender and tar. Medium-to full-bodied with ripe, powdery tannins. Coffee notes at the end. Excellent intensity and structure for the vintage. 90% merlot and 10% cabernet franc. Score: 93 - 94 James Suckling, JamesSuckling.com Date: 01 May 2022 |

A blend of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc, the 2021 La Petite Eglise opens in the glass with aromas of dark berries, licorice, loamy soil and black truffle. It's medium to full-bodied, concentrated and tensile, with terrific depth at the core and a long, saline finish. Score: 89 - 91 William Kelley, Wine Advocate, RobertParker.com Date: 29 April 2022 |

The 2021 La Petite L'Eglise Clinet comes from designated parcels that never seemed to blend well with the rest of the parcels, as well as some of the younger vine Merlot. It's 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc, brought up in 60% new French oak. A beautiful wine in its own right, it has plenty of plum and cassis fruits, notes of violets, earth, and graphite, medium-bodied richness, silky tannins, and just a forward, charming, delicious profile.
