A sculpted wine with finesse and lift, a little soft through the mid palate. Lacks the signature exuberance that you normally find in Gloria but there is charming raspberry and loganberry fruit, with anis and liqourice. First year organic conversion, Jean Michel Comme vineyard consultant, Eric Boissenot wine. Harvest September 27 to October 9. Score: 91 Jane Anson, Inside Bordeaux Maturity: 2025-2036 Date: 02 April 2024 |

The 2021 Gloria is terrific and everything it should be. Floral and spice notes open first, revealing a mid-weight, slightly nervous Gloria. Medium in body, with good depth, the 2021 offers fine balance. Tobacco, cedar, mint and red cherry linger. Score: 91 Antonio Galloni, Inside Bordeaux Maturity: 2028-2041 Date: 27 February 2024 |

The 2021 Gloria, which contains a healthy slug of Petit Verdot (14%), has a clean and pure bouquet with black cherries, bilberry, cedar and crushed violet scents, almost Margaux-like in style. The oak is nicely integrated. The palate is medium-bodied with a graphite-tinged entry. This is quite a "vertical" Gloria, conservative in some ways, yet it does not compensate in terms of precision on the finish, and it feels reassuringly long on the aftertaste. There’s good potential here. Score: 93 Neal Martin, Vinous.com Maturity: 2027-2045 Date: 22 February 2024 |

Lacks the density of top years but fruit present and tannins finely honed. A well-crafted, medium-bodied wine with attractive fruit and some persistence on the finish. Score: 16 James Lawther MW, JancisRobinson.com Maturity: 2026-2036 Date: 11 May 2022 |

I like the firmness and polish to this, with medium body, creamy tannins and a delicious finish. Racy and refined. Score: 92 - 93 James Suckling, JamesSuckling.com Date: 01 May 2022 |

Charming and extroverted, the 2021 Gloria bursts with aromas of cassis, cherries, sweet berries, fresh mint and loamy soil. Medium to full-bodied, ample and fleshy, it's a lively, seamless wine that wears its heart on its sleeve. This blend of 61% Cabernet Sauvignon, 19% Merlot, 14% Petit Verdot and 6% Cabernet Franc seems likely to emerge as a sleeper of the vintage. Tasted four times. The 2021 Château Gloria offers up medium-bodied aromas and flavors and darker, almost cassis-like fruits as well as leather, toasted spice, and background oak. A blend of 61% Cabernet Sauvignon, 19% Merlot, and the rest Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, it has good concentration, the vintage's pretty, elegant, balanced style, ripe tannins, and a great finish.
