Shows precision and a carefully placed feeling to the tannins, softly paced extraction, soft through mid palate. Cool cimate in feel, majoring on blueberry and raspberry fruits, curls of gunsmoke, peony and iris flowers, flint and iron, will be an enjoyable medium term drinker but without the complexity of Fieuzal in recent vintages. Harvest September 18 to 29. Score: 91 Jane Anson, Inside Bordeaux Maturity: 2025-2035 Date: 02 April 2024 |

The 2021 de Fieuzal is a powerful, savory wine. Black cherry, dried herbs, licorice, incense and chocolate show very good depth and intensity. There is some burliness in the tannin, but that is typical of the year, especially in this appellation. Score: 89 Antonio Galloni, Inside Bordeaux Maturity: 2025-2033 Date: 27 February 2024 |

Lovely finish to this polished and fine-tannined Fieuzal with red fruit, medium body and a juicy finish. Score: 91 - 92 James Suckling, JamesSuckling.com Date: 17 May 2022 |

The 2021 Château de Fieuzal has a fresh nose of black cherries, blueberry and violet scents, plus a touch of melted tar. The palate is fresh on the entry with slightly chalky tannins, attenuating just a little toward the finish. Fine salinity, though not a long-term de Fieuzal. Score: 88 - 90 Neal Martin, Vinous.com Maturity: 2028-2038 Date: 13 May 2022 |

Dark crimson. Some suggestion of ripe black fruit on the nose – amazingly! Gentle, easy, almost soft(!) wine. It doesn’t seem desperately ambitious in terms of longevity but it’s sweet and well balanced. You could almost drink this particular sample tonight! Not a very serious wine but a pleasant drink. An attractive blend of 50% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Petit Verdot, the 2021 de Fieuzal offers up aromas of plums and raspberries mingled with hints of rose petals and sweet spices. Medium-bodied, ample and polished, it's a supple, seamless wine with a pretty core of fruit, lively acids and impressive length on the finish. Congratulations to winemaker Stephen Carrier and consultant Thomas Duclos for this compelling Pessac. Tasted three times. The 2021 Château De Fieuzal is a broad, medium to full-bodied, wonderfully pure barrel sample offering lots of red and black fruits, notes of flowers and herbs, ripe tannins, and outstanding length. It should be an outstanding wine as well, and while it shows the fresher style of the vintage, it brings plenty of ripeness. Score: 90 - 92 Jeb Dunnuck, JebDunnuck.com Date: 06 February 2022 |
