Cloves, pencil lead, black chocolate, dark cassis fruits, this veers towards aniseed and fennel bitterness on the finish, but there is concentration here, and plenty of appellation character. A good choice for an impactful Pomerol, no need to wait too long but ensure a good few hours in a carafe. Score: 92 Jane Anson, Inside Bordeaux Maturity: 2024-2041 Date: 26 March 2024 |

The 2021 Feytit-Clinet is a pretty understated release for this property, where the wines are often larger in scale. Soft contours wrap around a core of plum, red cherry, spice, new leather and white pepper. As it was en primeur, the 2021 is a relatively open-knit, accessible Feytit-Clinet that will drink well with minimal cellaring. Sweet floral and spice notes grace the silky finish. The 2021 Feytit-Clinet feels a little muffled on the nose and, as I commented before, just lacks the brightness and zest of recent vintages. The palate is medium-bodied with good depth and dry tannins. This is an introverted Feytit-Clinet with dried blood and black pepper toward the finish; a couple of bottles suggest this might have a bit of Brettanomyces. It’s not a bad wine, though one I’d drink in the first decade of its life—a rare dropped-catch in a run of excellent vintages for this Pomerol estate. A medium-bodied red that starts off beautifully, with attractive currant and berry character, as well as black olive and violet. Fresh and vivid. Score: 93 - 94 James Suckling, JamesSuckling.com Date: 01 May 2022 |

Rich and muscular, the 2021 Feytit Clinet offers up aromas of cassis, blackberries, violets and toasty new oak. Medium to full-bodied, fleshy and layered, it's a generous, structured Pomerol built around powdery tannins and lively acids. The 2021 Château Feytit-Clinet comes from a 6.68-hectare vineyard located between Trotanoy and Latour a Pomerol, not far from Clinet. Based on 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc that will spend 16 months in 70% new barrels, it offers a round, fleshy, medium to full-bodied style that brings plenty of mid-palate depth, ripe tannins, and ample darker, blue fruits as well as some classic Pomerol earthy and floral nuances. It's beautifully done and certainly offers more pleasure and opulence than most out there. Tasted twice. Score: 91 - 94 Jeb Dunnuck, JebDunnuck.com Date: 06 February 2022 |
