Shows blueberry aromas, with subtle character of mahogany and cedar. Medium-bodied, featuring soft tannins and a pretty, plummy, toasted oak finish. Very ready. - '89/'99 Bordeaux blind retrospective (2009). Drink now Score: 88 James Suckling, Wine Spectator 01 January 2010 |

A dense ruby/purple color is followed by seductive aromas of smoky dried herbs and jammy currants, and a rich, dense, layered, velvety-textured wine. The sumptuous attack narrows slightly in the mid-palate and finish, but this is a totally charming, well-balanced, pure beauty to consume over the next 12-15 years. Score: 89 Robert Parker, Wine Advocate, RobertParker.com Maturity: 2002-2017 01 April 2002 |
