Burgundy 2017: PERNOT-BELICARD

PB

The grandson of Paul Pernot, Philippe Pernot’s reputation amongst his peers has been growing since he took the helm at his wife’s family estate in Puligny Montrachet in 2009.

Accesibly priced and worth following, the wines of Pernot Belicard wines display cool, vibrant fruit from Puligny and Meursault that finely showcase the minerality and richness of these two areas.  His Bourgogne Blanc is made from two plots just below the village of Puligny.  We also have a small quantity of the excellent 2015s remaining that are immediately available.

"Domaine Pernot-Belicard is one of the new estates on my radar…  the first vintage produced was 2009 – still selling some grapes of to negociant. Since then he has been building a fine reputation among his colleagues… I do feel very confident that Philippe Pernot is a man to follow"
Steen Ohman, Winehog, January 2017
