A smooth, smoky version, this displays lemon, peach and toasty oak aromas and flavors, matched to a creamy texture. Harmonious and long, with a dash of refreshing acidity to enliven the finish. Best from 2018 through 2025. Score: 93 Bruce Sanderson, Wine Spectator 26 April 2017 |

The 2013 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru les Folatières, which was cropped on the same day as the Referts, is a little more outgoing with hints of apricot blossom and grass clipping infusing the minerally citric fruit. The palate is crisp and refined on the entry with a silver thread of acidity, though at the moment I am finding a little more complexity and terroir expression manifested on the Referts. Still, this is very harmonious and the persistence is impressive. Score: 91 - 93 Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, RobertParker.com Maturity: 2016-2028 01 December 2014 |
