Tasting Notes | ||||
---|---|---|---|---|
Bright medium red. Candied raspberry, blueberry, blood orange, peony, crushed stone and white pepper on the nose. Like liquid silk on the palate, offering an uncanny combination of sweetness and energy. High-pitched flavors of red cherry, blackcurrant and fresh flowers carry through on the long finish, which features youthfully chewy tannins and a saline nuance. Quality-wise, this really isn't a second wine at all; in fact, in 2011 it's better than many classified growths. Score: 89 Ian D'Agata, Vinous.com 01 July 2014 |

Fragrant red fruit nose and palate. Fine grained tannins and good length. As usual lighter and less powerful than big brother l'Eglise-Clinet. Score: 16 Decanter, Decanter.com Maturity: 2016-2025 16 April 2012 |

Soft and perfumy style, with pretty mulled spice and mesquite shadings the to damson plum and raspberry coulis notes. Subtle persistence on the finish. Score: 87 - 90 James Molesworth, Wine Spectator 11 April 2012 |
