Lovely purity of fruit here, showing notes of nectarines, sliced apples and crushed stones on the nose. It’s creamy and medium- to full-bodied on the palate. Solid chenin blanc. The 2023 Chenin Blanc Kloofstreet comes from two adjacent parcels on the Paardeberg and fermented in stainless steel. It has a fresh, slightly marine influence, with touches of undergrowth. The palate is well balanced with a honeyed texture, a keen line of acidity and a hint of white chocolate on the finish. It’s delicious and an outstanding value.
