Mid garnet. Still going strong. Definitely underpriced. There is a real core of fruit here. For a mature claret with personality, this is VGV. 13.5% Score: 16+ Jancis Robinson MW, JancisRobinson.com 08 November 2023 |

The 2012 Meyney has an attractive blackberry, wild hedgerow and sous-bois bouquet that demands a bit of coaxing from the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins supporting black fruit laced with orange peel and white pepper. There is decent weight and density on the finish, completing a very capable and enjoyable Meyney. Drink over the next decade. Tasted at a vertical at Château Meyney. Score: 90 Neal Martin, Vinous.com Maturity: 2020-2030 01 July 2020 |

This estate is quickly returning from a long period of mediocrity. This sleeper of the vintage exhibits a dense ruby/purple color in addition to copious notes of black raspberries, blueberries, loamy soil and roasted Provencal herbs. Medium to full-bodied, it should drink well for 10-12+ years. Score: 88 - 90 Robert Parker, Wine Advocate, RobertParker.com Maturity: 2013-2025 26 April 2013 |

Very well-integrated with the tannins and fruit here for the vintage. Full body with chewy tannins, but the spicy and blueberry fruit stands together with the structure. Nicely well done. Score: 90 - 91 James Suckling, JamesSuckling.com 21 April 2013 |

Sleek, with a chalk frame holding the damson plum and black cherry fruit together. The finish shows good cut despite the lightly dusty feel. Score: 87 - 90 James Molesworth, Wine Spectator 08 April 2013 |
