---|---|---|---|---|
This is savoury, well balanced, with Left Bank typicity in its slate, coffee bean and cassis friut lifted by mint, black pepper and all-spice, with the smoke of the gravel terroir. 29% new oak. Single point upscore. Guillaume Rousseau cellar master is originally from Burgundy. Tasted twice. Score: 87 Jane Anson, Inside Bordeaux Maturity: 2025-2038 02 April 2024 |

The 2021 Belgrave is gorgeous. Dark, sensual and inviting, the 2021 impresses with its total sense of poise. Cabernet Sauvignon plays the leading role. Belgrave lies just outside Saint-Julien, and its wines share some obvious similarities with those of its famous neighbors, starting with its distinctive blue/purplish fruit profile. Blackberry, mocha, licorice, spice and menthol fill out the layers effortlessly, building into a deep, beautifully resonant finish. Score: 92 Antonio Galloni, Inside Bordeaux Maturity: 2025-2036 27 February 2024 |

The 2021 Belgrave, bottled in June 2023, has an impressive bouquet with dried iris flower, blackberry, cedar and light graphite aromas that seem to gain delineation with time in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with crisp, slightly chalky tannins, sufficient black fruit and a touch of black pepper toward the finish. Classic in style, drink this over the next decade. Score: 90 Neal Martin, Vinous.com Maturity: 2026-2042 22 February 2024 |

A nicely polished red with currants, walnuts and hints of fresh herbs. Medium body. Fine tannins. Fresh and refined. Score: 91 - 92 James Suckling, JamesSuckling.com 09 May 2022 |

Darker blue fruits, damp earth, and tobacco notes all emerge from the 2021 Château Belgrave, a pretty, elegant, medium-bodied barrel sample that brings solid mid-palate depth, quality tannins, and a good finish. Score: 87 - 89 Jeb Dunnuck, JebDunnuck.com 06 February 2022 |
