Cathiard’s 2005 Nuits-St.-Georges Les Murgers offers beautifully-focused aromas and flavors of cassis, black raspberry, and meat stock. Quite creamy in texture, with chalky, smoky, brown spice, and floral inner-mouth character, this acts like a Nuits that could be Vosne. The combination of clarity with creaminess in the finish is uncanny. Score: 92 - 93 David Schildknecht, Wine Advocate, RobertParker.com 29 June 2007 |

Very closed on the nose, without much lift despite vigorous swirling of my glass. Touch of cherry, rose petals and strawberry. But the palate is very impressive with immense purity, delineation and focus. Morello cherry, blueberry, a touch of orange peel and peach. Very long length. Feminine and utterly refined. Outstanding. Score: 94 - 95 Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, RobertParker.com Maturity: 2009 - 2018 01 January 2007 |

Here there is absolutely terrific aromatic depth with a spicy mix of warm earth, underbrush, ripe pinot fruit and just a hint of the sauvage that is also present on the nuanced and admirably deep flavors that beautifully combine both power and delineation on the strikingly long finish. This is a knockout! Outstanding Score: 91 - 93 Allen Meadows, Burghound Maturity: 2013+ 01 January 2007 |
