Saffredi 1999

Extremely ripe, almost raisiny, with loads of raspberry and cherry character, yet there's a sophistication, a subtlety, to the wine. Full-bodied, with velvety tannins and a silky, well-defined finish. A pure and pretty wine. Best after 2003. 1,500 cases made. –JS
