Clos de Vougeot 2018

This plays right on the edge of perceptible volatile acidity but I stress that it is quite subtle and basically helps to add lift to the pretty and relatively high-toned essence of red currant and spice plum that is trimmed in soft touches of earth and wood. The unusually supple, round and reasonably vibrant larger-scaled flavors terminate in a saline if slightly spiky and warmth finish. I suspect that this will better harmonize in time though I doubt that it will ever be distinguished.
