Wonderfully seductive nose – ripe, dark-fruited and generous. Then quite a contrast on the palate: quite oaky, a touch of char adding a savoury note. Firm, compact, fresh, all to come. Score: 16+ Julia Harding MW, JancisRobinson.com Maturity: 2025-2035 14 January 2020 |

Here too there is enough wood to point out framing the very ripe and slightly jammy aromas of poached plum and cassis with background nuances of forest floor and pungent earth. There is impressive density and power to the sappy and exceptionally rich broad-shouldered flavors that terminate in a mocha and bitter cherry pit-inflected finish that is once again noticeably warm. Score: 87 - 90 Allen Meadows, Burghound Maturity: 2028+ 10 January 2020 |

The 2018 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Pruliers 1er Cru has a little more intensity and delineation than the Clos des Porrets, the red cherry and crushed strawberry fruit laced with sous-bois notes. The medium-bodied palate offers fine tannins and more density and energy than the Clos des Porrets. The pretty dark cherry, raspberry and white pepper finish does not overstay its welcome. Enjoy over the next decade. Score: 90 - 92 Neal Martin, Vinous.com Maturity: 2020-2030 01 January 2020 |
