Few domaines in Burgundy manage to consistently achieve the incredible texture and mouth feel of the Coche wines and this 96 Rougeots offers it in spades. Wonderfully elegant with terrific underlying minerality, this has barely budged since release and I would expect the 96 Rougeots to have a slow, graceful evolution. Outstanding potential and undoubtedly of top premier cru quality. Score: 92 Allen Meadows, Burghound Maturity: 2008-2012+ 01 October 2001 |

The outstanding Meursault Rougeots possesses awesome mineral depth on the nose and a super-concentrated, luscious, broad-shouldered, yet defined, focused and highly-delineated personality. It is medium-to-full-bodied, refined, and precise. This wine is filled with oily minerals intertwined with zest citrus peels. Projected maturity: 2001-2008. Score: 90 - 93 Pierre Rovani, Wine Advocate, RobertParker.com Maturity: 2001-2008 28 February 1998 |
