Bursting with aromas of almond paste, pear, peach and orange blossom, the 2017 Bourgogne Chardonnay is medium to full-bodied, with an elegantly fleshy but precise palate, concluding with a delicately perfumed finish. There is both excellent intensity and detail to the middle weight flavors that possess impressive complexity for its level as well as fine length. The 2017 Bourgogne Blanc has a very well-defined, quite flinty bouquet that is bursting with energy. The taut, fresh palate offers wonderful salinity, and touches of vervain tea make an unexpected appearance toward the finish. Very fine. Score: 88 Neal Martin, Vinous.com 01 January 2019 |
