A slightly fresher nose speaks of mineral reduction, apple and soft floral scents. There is a lovely sense of energy to the attractively textured, rich and delicious middle weight flavors that possess much better depth and persistence. One to consider. Outstanding Top value

Offering up aromas of citrus zest, green apple and white flowers, the 2017 Chablis Villages is a medium-bodied, moderately concentrated wine with juicy acids and a saline, chalky finish.

This has plenty of ripe rich fruit with an array of lime curd, peaches, apricots and mangoes. The palate is packed with flesh and very succulent smooth and creamy peaches and apricots. A lot to like here. Drink on release.

The 2017 Chablis has a tightly-wound, flinty bouquet with just a faint hint of pressed white flowers. The palate is well balanced with a slither of bitter lemon on the entry, modest weight with a strict and linear, saline finish. Very classic in style, this Chablis should be broached over the next six or seven years.
