Tasting Notes

A discreet application of wood sets off the pretty nose of lemon, apple, pear and floral scents that give way to rich and appealingly well-detailed medium-bodied flavors that possess a seductive mouth feel on the lingering finale. This too offers excellent quality for its category and would make a fine choice for a good house white. Outstanding Top value

The 2014 Bourgogne Chardonnay, which sees around 15% new oak including 40% matured in demi-muids for 11 months, has a refined bouquet of light orange blossom and peachy scents that are nicely defined. The palate is rounded on the entry with peach and light mango notes, slightly lower in acidity than it peers but still balanced, smooth and harmonious on the finish. This will just slip down the throat! Lovely.
