Tasting Notes

The 2015 Saint Joseph Silice outperforms its entry-level status, offering up hints of wet stone and a whirl of mixed red and black cherries. Medium to full-bodied, it’s creamy and plush on the palate, firming up just enough on the long finish. It should drink well for a decade.

Score: 92

The largest production release is the 2015 Saint Joseph Silice, which is a mix of estate parcels aged in a combination of demi-muids and barrels. It offers full-bodied aromas and flavors of wild strawberries, black raspberries, cassis and crushed violets, a rocking texture and sweet, polished tannin. It’s probably the finest vintage of this cuvée to date.

Score: 91 - 93
