Tasting Notes | ||||
---|---|---|---|---|
An attractively perfumed, cool and airy nose mixes notes of red pinot fruit with earth and floral nuances. There is good detail to the seductively textured and relatively forward middle weight flavors that possess that lovely sense of underlying tension on the saline and lingering finish. This is built on its fruit but isn't simple. Score: 87 - 89 Allen Meadows, Burghound Maturity: 2019+ 15 April 2015 |

The 2013 Monthélie les Duresses has a light but pure raspberry leaf and strawberry-scented bouquet that wafts gently from the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins, a decent structure, with a sharp, pointed, tart cherry finish. What you might call a "pretty little thing." Score: 87 - 89 Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, RobertParker.com Maturity: 2016-2021 30 December 2014 |
