The 2012 La Grave a Pomerol offers good up-front intensity and overall depth. Black cherries, game, smoke, licorice, menthol and crème de cassis all take shape in the glass. The 2012 is not especially subtle, but it will drink nicely for the next decade or so. Score: 89 Antonio Galloni, Vinous.com Maturity: 2017-2027 01 January 2016 |

Solid, with a packed core of raspberry and boysenberry pâte de fruit flavors, liberally studded with anise, cinnamon, black tea and graphite notes. The long finish has a well-integrated roasted apple wood accent. Best from 2017 through 2027. Score: 91 James Molesworth, Wine Spectator Maturity: 2017-2027 31 March 2015 |

The La Grave-a-Pomerol 2012 from barrel lives up to its name on the nose with light warm gravel scents infusing the light black fruit. Hints of tobacco develop with time. The palate is medium-bodied with dry, slightly chalky tannins. It would benefit from a little more depth of fruit the mid-palate, although there is a pleasant sense of 'classicism' on the finish. This is a decent La Grave-a-Pomerol that should drink well over the ten years or so. Tasted April 2013. Score: 88 - 90 Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, RobertParker.com 01 May 2013 |

A pretty red with plums and berries and hints of hazelnuts. Medium-to-full body, with velvety tannins and a medium finish. Score: 88 - 90 James Suckling, JamesSuckling.com 20 April 2013 |
