Tasting Notes

An elegant, pure and ultra-fresh nose offers up notes of honeysuckle, white peach, tea and citrus zest. There is an even more refined mouth feel to the utterly delicious and highly seductive medium weight flavors that somewhat surprisingly are even more precise, all wrapped in a citrusy, impressively persistent and youthfully austere finale. This is quite firmly structured and should amply reward extended cellaring.

Score: 92 - 94

Allen Meadows, Burghound Maturity: 2024+ 15 June 2016

(from the oldest vines of the domaine but, says Boudot, "this wine can be a little thin after the Combettes"): Bright pale yellow. Aromas of musky white peach and white plum, honey, flowers and menthol. Juicy and smaller-scaled, offering complex flavors of white stone fruits, white flowers and crushed stone. Not a powerhouse but intensely flavored and perfumed. More floral than fruity today and and very young; this needs more élevage.

Score: 91 - 94
