Conseillante

Chateau La Conseillante is one of the jewels of Pomerol, producing wines of remarkable finesse and aromatic beauty. Nestled between Eglise Clinet and Cheval Blanc, its small vineyard of clay and gravel soils is planted mainly to Merlot with a generous proportion of Cabernet Franc, which gives the wine its distinctive perfume and lift. Stylistically, La Conseillante is celebrated for its silken texture, violets and truffle-scented aromas and graceful balance rather than sheer power. Neal Martin has called La Conseillante “the essence of Pomerol at its most refined.”
