Situated at the northern end of Saint Estephe, this traditional and historic estate was for years impeccably run by the shrewd, no-nonsense Madame Capbern-Gasqueton. 'The most northerly of all the Classed Growths, this is one of the greatest terroirs of Bordeaux according to Robert Parker but also dependably one of the best values of Bordeaux too, especially so in comparison with the other stars of St Estephe, Cos and Montrose.
