Full of fruit and soft tannins with good ageing potential, this Domaine makes fine Nuits Saint Georges at very fair prices.

Founded in 1887 by Eugène-François Chevillon, in 1946 this domaine was split between his two sons, Maurice, & Georges, who acquired a parcel of Nuits-Saint-Georges most famous premier cru vineyard, "Les St-Georges", now with vines aged 35-50 years.. Previously known as Domaine Michel Chevillon, the domaine is now named and run by the fifth generation, Claire and her husband Philippe Chezeaux.  They own 8.61 hectares of vineyard including a fine selection of Nuits-St-Georges 1er Crus including Les St-Georges.  Their village Nuits, Les St Julien comes from the south edge of Nuits.

Careful winemaking with a slow cold prefermentation for better aromatic expression, pressing / pumping over according to the vintage, and 20% new oak maximum used for village and premier crus wines for 12-16 months, bottled without filtering.
