Reserve de Leoville Barton 2009 & 2010

La Réserve de Léoville-Barton is the second wine of Chateaux Léoville and Langoa Barton and offers classic St Julien character, great balance and structure and wonderful pure fruit, more forward for the 2009 and refined for the 2010, true to each of the vintages' characteristics.  The 2009 is starting to drink beautifully, the 2010 will be opening up over the next 1-2 years.       
 
As a price comparison, other second wines of Second Growths from these vintages sell for around £300-400 cs so these represent superb drinking value and we think it will be fascinating to watch how these wines age and evolve side by side.
