Not racked. Slightly younger vines than the regular Bougros but the site is so different, on the steepest of slopes dropping down to the road. The 2021 Chablis Bougros C'te Bouguerots Grand Cru, which was cropped at just 17hl/ha this year, has an intriguing bouquet with hints of peach skin and honeysuckle, the precocity of this parcel seeping through as it opens up. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, taut and fresh, quite linear with hints of orange pith and even a dab of ginger towards the spicy, energetic finish.…

The 2021 Chablis Grand Cru Bougros C'te Bouguerots is superb, unwinding in the glass with aromas of orange zest, white flowers, fresh mint, buttery pastry and clam liquor, followed by a medium to full-bodied, deep and satiny palate with a sweet core of fruit, a bright spine of tangy acidity and a long, orange oil-inflected finish.
