What the critics say

Jeb Dunnuck (JD) — 92–94/100 · JebDunnuck.com, 25/05/2021

I loved the 2020 Chateau Cantenac Brown, a pure, medium to full-bodied, beautifully textured Margaux that shines in the vintage. Offering up lots of classy cassis fruits as well as spicy oak, violets, and flowers, it has plenty of mid-palate depth, outstanding balance, and a great finish. Antonio Galloni (AG) — 97/100 · Vinous, 23/02/2023 · Drink 2026-2040

The 2020 Cantenac Brown is a knock-out. A Margaux of towering intensity, the 2020 is dense and vertical at the same time. It's a combination that works so well. Jane Anson (JA) — 95/100 · Inside Bordeaux, 2025-07-09 · Drink 2028-2050

Real density to the tannins, alongside cassis and blackberry fruits. This clearly has more depth and warmth than in the 2019, but both are balanced with appellation signature. First vintage with Tristan Le Lous as owner. 60% new oak barrels, harvest September 10 to…
