A beautifully crafted red with cherry, plum, light cocoa and aniseed complexity. Medium body, firm tannins and a fresh finish. Very fine for the vintage. Delicacy with structure. Best after 2026.

The 2019 Barolo Cerretta is terrific. Layered and expansive, yet also medium in body, the Cerretta is a fine effort from this Serralunga vineyard, where wines tend to be a bit more accessible than they are in other parts of the village. Succulent red cherry fruit, blood orange, mint, sweet spice and wild flowers abound. This is very nicely done.
