What the critics say

Allen Meadows (BH) — 90–93/100 · Burghound, 15/10/2015 · Drink 2021+

Notes of cool mineral reduction combine with restrained aromas of mostly white orchard fruit, iodine, pepper and hints of algae. The gorgeously textured middle weight flavors exhibit plenty of minerality on the tighter, more intense and chiseled finish that deliver excellent length. This beauty should drink well both young and old as there is very good mid-palate density.

Bright, pale yellow-green. Lemon, menthol and wet stone on the nose, lifted by a floral topnote. Juicy, intense and firm, delivering sharply chiseled lemon and mineral flavors. Strong acidity suggests early harvesting. Really vibrates and rises on the long, brisk aftertaste. A terrific Vaillons.
