Allen Meadows (BH) — 91–93/100 · Burghound, 01/01/2007 · Drink 2017+
A soaring nose of spicy cassis, black cherry and violoet aromas merge into rich, full and utterly delicious flavours that possess a beguiling texture and unusually fine tannins compared to what I usually see with this wine. This is a big wine by any measure with excellent mid-palate density and superb length. Good stuff and as the "value" play in the DRC line-up, one to consider.
