What the critics say

James Suckling (JS) — 92/100 · Wine Spectator, 30/04/2008 · Drink 2009+

An outstanding wine, but I am a little disappointed. It should have more concentration. Soft and plummy, with chocolate, berry and mineral. Full--bodied, with velvety tannins and a round finish. Starting to open. Very drinkable and soft. Distinguished. This is so Richebourg DRC.--Le Pin non-blind vertical. Best after 2009. 500 cases made.

The vibrant finish is reminiscent of t…
