Tasting Notes

Pale straw-yellow. Soil-driven aromas of flint and baked bread; not a fruity style but not exotic either. Rich and sweet in the mouth, with ripe peach and earth flavors coming across as a bit aggressive following the 2014s here. Has the texture to drink young, but finishes slightly spiky.

Score: 88

Lots of honeysuckle and flowers in the nose. Full body, very, very fine and long. Wonderful acid and fruit balance. Drink now. Why wait?

This is clearly riper with background traces of exoticism present on the citrus-inflected yellow orchard fruit aromas. There is impressive concentration to the extract-rich middle weight flavors that possess ample minerality that continues onto the almost salty, clean and relatively dry finish. This is more powerful than it usually is and while it should age well, it will drink well young too. Outstanding

Score: 90 - 92
