Offers pronounced aromas of blackberry, with hints of rose. Full-bodied, with fine tannins and a fruity, silky-textured finish. All together and balanced. Surprisingly attractive now. Best after 2010. Score: 92 James Molesworth, Wine Spectator Maturity: 2010+ 30 September 2008 |

The 2004 Langhe Conteisa, from vineyards in La Morra, is especially dark-toned and rich in this vintage. Made in an uncharacteristically weighty, opulent style for this wine, it reveals plenty of ripe dark fruit, spices, new leather, licorice and tar. With air it gradually turns more feminine and delicate, yet it remains a gorgeous, sumptuous wine of outstanding pedigree. Score: 94 Antonio Galloni, Wine Advocate, RobertParker.com Maturity: 2009-2022 01 December 2007 |
