Tasting Notes

The 2013 Bourgogne Blanc, which had been racked two months previously in 350 liter barrels, has a crisp, undergrowth-tinged bouquet with touches of bruised apple and a touch of the 'controlled reduction' that they are looking for. The palate is marvelous: orange zest, dried pineapple, citrus lemon and even a touch of licorice. The palate has a touch of fatness in the mouth, really much too complex and intriguing for a generic white Burgundy, the 15% new wood just lending the weight on the finish. Strongly recommended.

Score: 89 - 91
