One of the best-known of the crus bourgeois of the Médoc (from a large estate that has been well-represented in the United States for over 30 years), this blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot supplies the generosity, richness, and consumer-friendly ripeness and headiness that this château has offered for many, many years. The 2012 is attractive, cleanly made, with a touch of wood, nice blackcurrant fruit, a plump, round, generous mouthfeel and a supple finish. Drink it over the next 6-8 years. It is a sleeper of the vintage. Score: 87 Robert Parker, Wine Advocate, RobertParker.com Maturity: 2015-2023 01 April 2015 |
