Gevrey Chambertin Lavaux St Jacques 1er Cru 2010

Very mild reduction does not completely hide the otherwise pretty and notably cool red berry, floral and stone-inflected aromas that complement well the minerally, detailed, supple and impressively intense medium-bodied flavors that possess an obvious touch of the sauvage on the herbal, focused and strikingly long finish that is, at present anyway, overtly austere. This is a classic Lavaut with an abundance of underlying tension and very firm supporting tannins. Ample patience will be required. Outstanding
