Tasting Notes

Definitely solid and chunky rather than high-flying but very worthy with such ripeness there are almost chocolate flavours, a dry finish and impressive length.

Jancis Robinson MW, JancisRobinson.com Maturity: 2005-2013 31 August 2005

The only vintage after 1996 that merits attention from serious wine lovers, the 2000 Marquis de Terme has a dense, murky ruby/purple color and a sweet nose of berry fruit, earth, licorice, and new oak. Medium-weight with good concentration and purity, it is much more developed than most 2000s. Anticipated maturity: 2006-2015.

Score: 87

Robert Parker, Wine Advocate, RobertParker.com Maturity: 2006-2015 01 April 2003

Lots of earthy, crushed berry and floral aromas. Full-bodied, with lots of good fruit and moist, velvety tannins. Long finish. Don't forget this. No one talks about this estate any more, and it makes very good wines in top vintages. Best after 2010. 14,165 cases made.

Score: 92
