Dark crimson with minerals, intrigue and some lusciousness on the nose. Lots of sweetness and appeal. Very round and appealing - seems as though it has quite a bit of Merlot in the blend. Score: 17 Jancis Robinson MW, JancisRobinson.com Maturity: 2006-2016 21 September 2011 |

Aromas of blackberry and hints of licorice and light wood. Full-bodied, with juicy tannins and cedar, plum and coffee aftertaste. Give this time.--'95/'96 Bordeaux retrospective. Best after 2008. 10,800 cases made. Score: 90 James Suckling, Wine Spectator Maturity: 2008+ 01 January 2007 |

A reasonably strong effort from Brane-Cantenac, this wine exhibits a bit of lightening to its dark garnet/ruby color and very fragrant aromas of cedar, tobacco leaf, as well as black currants and some licorice. Medium-bodied with some sweet tannin, excellent purity, and a nicely textured, mid-weight finish, this wine is already approachable. Anticipated maturity: 2005-2016. Score: 88 Robert Parker, 'Bordeaux' 4th Ed. Maturity: 2005-2016 01 January 2003 |
